Life here in Istanbul is now somewhat familiar. Going to the toliet at night i do not wonder where the hell I’m at, rather I feel quite at home. The carpets and all the unfamiliar smells, the minarets, the traffic, it is not that exotic any longer. The other day the local team was playing, the sound from the stadium some 500 meters away was overwhelming. Watching a film almost seemed pointless, I guess tuning into the game would have made sense!
