It was fantastic to bike in Denmark and I was nervous about the autobahn style country I was go the ing to enter. To my surprise Germany has much the same system with the bike lanes as Denmark, namely a separate route for bikes next to the road. These are numerous even on the smaller roads between smaller towns – Brilliant!

I found Odense to be a brilliant place, beautiful houses and there are things in Denmark, like the bike saddle thing on the picture that just makes me like to move there!

I have been in the outskirts of possible weather conditions. These regions, in southern Denmark and northern Germany have extreme shifts in the weather this time of the year. Doing 30km/h from Kolding and straight south to Flensburg in bright sun shine as opposed to the 12km/h in ead wind, rain and snow from Flensburg to Itzehoe.

I sort of missed the border between Denmark and Germany, I don’t think that will happen too often in Asia. All of a sudden I was in germany, sign were different but still the Danish radio was working fine. Radio waves – they know no borders.

Flensburg was entered through the north east, passing the Hells Angels and feeling of lonliness. I ended up staying at my first CS (couch surfing), brilliant!

Heading to Bremerhaven tomorrow. Seems iIwill be facing the wind once again, getting used to it now. I think the trick is to never consider the whole day at a time, rather just very short time spans that are easily overcome.

    FAR BEHIND

    Take Leave
    the conscious mind
    Found myself
    to be so inclined

    Why sleep
    in discontent?
    Oh the price
    of companionship

    My shadow runs with me
    underneath the Big Wide Sun
    My shadow comes with me
    as we leave it all
we leave it all Far Behind

    Empty pockets will
    Allow a greater
    Sense of wealth

    Why contain yourself
    Like any other
    Book on the shelf

    My shadow lays with me
    underneath the Big Wide Sun
    My shadow stays with me
    as we leave it all
we leave it all Far Behind

    Subtle voices in the wind,
    Hear the truth they’re telling
A world begins where the road ends
Watch me leave it all behind

    Subtle voices in the wind,
    Hear the truth they’re telling
A world begins where the road ends
Watch me leave it all behind
    Far behind.
