Køben

Arriving around lunch in Helsingør, Denmark. I decided to set of right away, sparing no time at the god forgotten harbor area where the ferry arrives. Forgetting my gloves on the back pannier along with my hat caused me some extra kilometers of biking. Once on track again, in the right direction I was doing a good 20km/h just looking at some 50 km of biking that day.

With some 15 km left to go the bolt holding the back rack broke and left part of the bolt in the hole. Bugger! Using some of the Macgyver equipment I’ve brought along I managed to fix well enough it hold the last 12 km before I found a bike repair shop. At the first place I stopped at I had no luck, they did not seem to be keen on helping me out. baffled, a bit surprised and somewhat irritated I took their advice and headed to the next shop. Same thing again. And again. After the third trial I started to feel a bit desperate and judgmental. Treading down the basement stairs of some building looking for help in some obscure bikeshop on a back street I finally recived the accurate attention, I though. They helped me out right away and I felt assured that the danish are the fantastic people I remember them to be. :)

Finally I arrived in Copenhagen. There I met up with the most fantastic people. Had a really good time, cooking and dancing, wohoo!. Staying there one more day than I first thought I would gave me time to load up the social battery.

It could not be easy to cycle so long every day in this kind of condition. But you´re doing a fine job, so I just wanna say keep on riding cyclefriend : )
    All the best
